      A particularly rare and exceptionally large spear point. Extremely well made with sharp edges and attractive coloration, this beautiful old piece is notable in that it is made of quartzite.

As a young man he invented the metal-cutting band saw (counter band machine) considered to be on of the seven basic machine tools. He founded the DoALL Company in Des Plains IL which produces a range of modern machine tools."

Under his early sponsorship, Jane Goodall was able to mount her first expedition to Tanzania to study wild chimpanzees at Gombe Reserve, a study which first documented for the world ape tool-making and tool-using.
