Strategically located on the ancient Silk Road that stretches from Central China all the way to the Mediterranean, the Old Kabul Bazaar has been an important crossroads for trade and commerce since ancient times. For over two millennia, the covered markets of Kabul have been alive with the hum of craftsmen and traders alike each intent on selling or trading their wares. From rug weavers to metal smiths, spice traders to camel merchants, bustling centers of trade were essential to the development of the interwoven world that we share today. All of the hand-made objects created by ancient to modern peoples are a testament to our diverse cultures, our timeless art, and our need for socializing, sharing ideas, and conducting profitable commerce!
This unique forged tile by Mr. Haiderzad was an inspiration for Souk Topia.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!
